[When Tim wakes up, he smells something in his apartment that doesn't exactly smell like his favorite coffee. It's a bit too early for him to care, though, so he ignores it and takes a groggy shower.
He throws on a dark robe and shuffles into his kitchen, still half-asleep. Plopping down into a chair at the table, he finally looks over and sees Conner at the stove, frying up pancakes. He blinks sleepily and takes a sip from the cup of coffee he finds sitting in front of him.]
What happened to my usual breakfast of coffee and cereal?

[ Kon is not surprised to see Tim already awake. even though he has taken waking him up as a bit of a habit, his boss has never been what people call a late sleeper after all. the reason of kon usually waking him up is simply the fact that with the little amount of sleep he is getting every night, he can get to wake him up right in time for whatever they had to do during the day.
the pancakes are ready a few minutes after Tim arrives in the room.
kon serves them to him, placing two plates on the table. one for each of them. ]
The cereals, at least. The coffee wanted to stay, I couldn't tell him no in no way.

[He eyes the pancakes placed in front of him appreciatively, though. Then he grabs the syrup bottle and drowns them in the liquid sugar.]
Admit it, you just wanted pancakes today.

[ he does the same, after waiting for Tim to finish with the bottle. he gives a bite to his pancake and swallows before talking again. ]
Is there anywhere you have to go today, boss?
no subject
I have to go to the office for some Wayne Enterprises stuff. Paperwork, mostly.
no subject
I'll go prepare after this pancake, just let me know when you're ready as well, okay?
no subject
Mm, okay. [This is said around another mouthful of pancakes. Tim doesn't care much for manners before he's finished his first cup of coffee.]

[ after he's done with his pancake, he stands up and walks toward Tim's room as it's there where he has his own stuff. the house was rented small on purpose (a better way to make it even less noticeable) and there is only one bedroom.
Kon's been sleeping on the couch all that time. Tim has made sure, though, that at least that was going to be a great couch. And it really was; the price of that couch costed the triple of the rent he was paying for the house. ] I'm gonna take a shower. I should have a spare suit, right?

Maybe you should do your laundry sometimes.

he doesn't take much, though, since half a twenty minutes later he was already ready. ]
We really need to talk to the owner of this place about the hot water, okay. You ready, yet?

[When Conner returns, Tim's dressed in a suit and tie and watching the morning news on the couch. He raises an eyebrow at Conner's statement.] I'm ready. What's wrong with the hot water?

[ he just takes the time to sit next to him and relax a bit before descending into the hell that is the outside world. ]

[ A pause, as they both look at the news and wait until it's over. ]
Shall we go?

[He moves to the door and holds it open for Conner, waiting for him to go out first.]

as soon as he is outside the door everything is a weapon and everyone is an enemy, so he has to look at even the littlest movement or the tiniest object as he walks onward.
he lets Tim get in the car first, right after he has checked if there is anything weird with it (like a bomb, for example), and then he gets in, sitting at the driver's seat. ]
Will your brothers be there?
no subject
Probably not. They have other things to take care of this week.
no subject
You know I prefer you sitting behind, right?
no subject
But I'll sit in the back more if it makes you feel better.

Anything else to do after that, by the way?
